You are shifting way too early then. Hold it til 7700 in first and second and hold in third til you bounce off the rev limiter.

 

Smog, when you had your Stage 1 what RPM did you shift at? I've been shifting at 7,500 RPM. Snoop, you could chime in also if you want.

 

i always shift a little earlier in 1st because my car absoloutly hates the 1-2 shift above 7200.....i either have to do it dog slow, or a little early(usually at about 7000-7200. Other shifts i always shift about about 7600.

 

I shift around 7600 rpms. I try to shift right before I hit the 7800 rpm rev Limit.
