I am having serious problems with the V3 firmware update on the Xede. The updating started...it erased the V2 like it was supposed to, but will not load the V3. The Xede will not flash or anything now and as far as I can tell..not functioning. I changed the com ports to COM 1 for the serial port that I had to use....X Update will not let me change ports to anything except COM1.....i'm screwed and need help.

 

Refer to other threads -- did you actually start the car during the on-off-on sequence? The original directions didn't specify that you had to actually get the engine start and it had a few of us frustrated when v3 was first available.

 

The COM issue is a major PITA. Many of us have been told it's our computers, it's the program. Find yourself another laptop to use if you can, one that has the COM1 port as the only port available. Make sure you install print drivers too....

haha i;m and idiot....i made the mistake of not actually starting the car up. I got it working though...thanks guys
