Question Misc issues w/recent Xede install...

I am having a couple of issues with my Xede ...none of which happend before i installed the Xede...

1) First issue is with the greddy turbo timer...once in a while my car will go under normal idle (almost to 600 rpms) when I turn the key off and the turbo timer is having an issue keeping the car running, like the car is stuttering to turn back on and keep running...is there any way to fix this issue??? What I think is happening when I cut the key is that the Xede powers off and back on messing up the ECU signal to the car...

2) Second is at the power up of the car...I have an 05 Evolution VIII, and sometimes when I crank the car on, all the ACD lights cut on and stay on instead of just lighting up one of the setting chosen (Tarmac, Gravel, Snow) What’s up with this??? Is there interefence with the Xede and the ACD???

3) Third is Check engine light I think due to issue number one... P0335 , Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction...once in a blue moon when the car just turns off because the turbo timer cant recover from the ECU signal lose (I think ) 1st attempt to turn car back on is unsuccessful (car will just continue to crank) and after I clear out the code the car cranks up just fine (Weird, yes I know) but what is causing this??

Any help will be greatly appreciated…

Alain

who did the install of the xede? we have seen many problems related to install. people seem to grab the wrong wires and generally muck things up. its rare that you will see a malfunctioning xede. check all the wiring on the xede harness and have someone who has installed an xede before check yours out.

think about it logically. car ran fine, xede installed, car runs crappy. the only variables involved are the xede or the installation. 90 percent chance of bad installation.

Sounds like you may have pulled something other than the boost wire from the factory harness. Put everything back to stock. Make sure everything is okay. Then just plug in the XEDE. Don't do the boost control wire. Just the XEDE connector and that's it. Make sure it works normally. If it doesn't, let us know. If it does, then it is likely that the wrong wire was pulled.

Just a suggestion...
