Ok a good friend of mine ask the question.. Why use a stock air box after getting a larger turbo? I have to say I thought about it for a long time and ended up just hurting myself... The idea of a 4 inch turbo inlet with a tube up to a stock air box 3 inch inlet doesnt seem to be the best idea.. I understand why the air box is nice but I dont see how sucking air from a 3 inch tube to 4 inch is a good idea. Please explain.. its racking my brain here. Would air flow better if the turbo had a large whole to suck air in from. If @ where the turbo and > is the design behind the trubo to air box. (@ >[] *sorry for poor drawings.) Wouldn't @ =[] or even @ <[] just work better?
Well anyways im going to goto bed before my brain pops.
here is a key for my horried drawings
@ = turbo
<,=,> = tube design
[] = airbox.
thanks..
