Help/Options with logging?

I have 3.2 w/Smart......

In XMAP I see only two options for logging.....

One is high speed data logging....and I cannot for the life of me get that to produce a file......

The other is data logging that outputs a CSV file.

I get the CSV file but it doesn't seem to contain much data (see pic) and honestly I'm not sure how you use excell to show this as a nice neat little bar graph.

How can I read a knock event from what is posted in this pic?
How can I look at an entire 1/4 mile pass second by secong?

Help me out because documentation in this department is REALLY lacking.

in your screen shot, knock is AN0In.

making a chart is pretty easy, just highligt all the columns and rows, starting from the heading down to the last row. then hit the Chart button, and select line chart. you can set many different options, but just hitting next and finish will at least get you a chart to look at. you can mess with the rest as you go.

Just reading the AN0In values with respect to RPM, it doesn't appear that there are knock events. I just ran a log this morning and by inspection there were no events. Making a plot only confirmed what I was reading from the data (e.g. nothing interesting).

The main problem I see with the regular "data log", since I cannot get the "high speed data log" to work either, is a lack of information. Like during a pull I will pick up 20 data point over 1800-7300 RPM run. And even then the first #'s are condensed while the latter are spread out, sometimes by 400-500 RPM's. I am concerned about missing knock events where it is not picking up information. Is that enough resolution to be usable? Actually, I guess something is better then nothing, and it is what I am using right now.

I just posted up a new thread about reading knock.....I have concerns as well. I highly doubt we can lean out to 11:1 and not see any random knock even if its minor I want to see it.

So far all I have been able to come up with is a rather large knock hit that luckly fell on one of the sampling points. The large knock hit is followed by a REACTIVE response from XEDE.

I have charted 5-6 runs now but I dont think the software is fast enough to catch the knock events.

HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO GET HIGH SPEED LOGGING TO WORK?

Ok I agree. And no I can't get high speed logging to work with V3.2.
