Fuzzychi,

I have a spare ECU that I am selling if you want to go the Dynoflash route. You can have it flashe and keep your other one stock for a possible Xede in the future or you can have on flashed for pump gas and one for race gas. Let me know.

You don't need to get rid of your intake, although it will probably not help you make much more power. There are several cars now that are way over 400whp with the stock airbox.

To buy dynoflush is to be slower than buying XEDE.

You get what you pay for, so go big or go home. Get an XEDE and be done with it.

Dynoflush=Walmart

Simple enough?

For guys who do their own tuning I had a quick question

1. Do you guys just log data and then tune from there?

2. Do you guys log data and use widebands?

One thing I have noticed is that guys who are interested in SAFC-II they tend to not include include all the costs associated with it. Like pocketlogger, wideband, cables, etc.

Go with an xede you won't be dissappointed.

I would not say that about the dynoflash. I had it when I was in Ohio. AL set it up for my mods based on the Buschur settings as I have all Buschur parts. He then reset it for 91 octane as I moved to LA. Keep in mind that AL never custom tuned my car, it was just the settings form the Buschur parts.

I then took my car to a dyno day here in LA and had shiv install and custom tune with the Xede. He was able to get another 25hp out of it. Which is a good amount more but again it was basically a mail in Dyno flash compard to a custom tuned Xede.

Had Al custom tuned it, my guess is that it would have been much closer.

As for the ECU - I am only asking what I paid for it - $400.

Yeah, but you are quoting the peak HP gain. I'm sure the area under that looked a lot better too, which = mo speed.

Maybe your car is just a fluke as well, because all the Dynoflush cars I've seen on the dyno have horrible AFRs and don't put out the power that the Vishnu cars do. But that's just my observation of like 30+ cars.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Xede and the tune that Shiv did on my car. I just also loved the Dynoflash as well especially the 94 octane dynoflash. The 91 did not seem to be as good. I have dyno sheets of before with the Dynoflash and after with the Xede if you are interested. Let me know and I can post them.

I would say you stick with AFC, unless you want to do more to your car. The Xede gives you the option to run SMART, launch control and even methanol injection. If that interests you, then get an Xede. If those options don't mean anything to you, then stick with the Xede. AMS and Buschur uses AFC's so it can't be bad.

Well, the AFC only allows you to do so much. And poorly at that. With the XEDE you can tune AFR, BOOST, and TIMING. You can only do AFR with the AFC. And the XEDE provides more precision than AFC in AFR.

It's best to have access to a dyno, but if you don't Vishnu has pre-programmed maps for just about any combination of mods you might have on any octane fuel.
