Inline4G63: You bring up a good point. But I do the 10.5 installs for $200. I remove the turbo to do it, which is the longest way to do it. But less headaches in the long run.
There should be some cheaper places to have the work done. Check around.

hotsides add more tq then hp so I think you will like it more then the numbers suggest. but i wouldn't complain about $20/whp anyway. might as well get a tme or the evo ix turbo (when it comes out) if you are having a shop install the hotside. i can't justify paying more for an install then the mod and you will save alot of money by getting a new turbo put in at the same time.

Pay the little extra and take it to a reputable shop. Just my 2cents.
You do not need ARP studs for cams.
If you're planning on putting on a hotside yourself, buy some studs for the turbo ahead of time because most likely 1 or two will break on you when removing the stock hotside from the turbo.
And you can justify paying more for the install than the part if you don't know how to do it yourself, and you want someone that knows what they're doing to do the work for you. Andrew at Dyno4mance for instance has installed a great number hotsides and could do it in his sleep. Plus he has the shop/tools/knowledge to fix anything that might go wrong (like the stud breaking) while doing the install.
So to me it's worth the stretch. I mean, if your going to do something why pay $100 less and have some backyard amature do the job (and possibly f it up) when you could just pay a pro. $100 extra for GOOD labor on moding my $30K car isn't excessive, it's insurance.

i installed my cams, gears, and headstuds myself...i would install the hotside myself...it looks like a pretty simple job...so you can factor out the price of install

I'd say if you feel you can do it yourself, go for it. It really isn't that hard, it's not simple, but definately not impossible or anything. And if you do it yourself, totally worth it.

just let u know I dyno 339.9 whp 332.7 tq on stock turbo without the 10.5 hot side... now I haven't it but I haven't tune it yet I'm goin to install the meth. kit then I going to tune it

they appear to have a mustang dyno...which typically read low, but can read high as well
im comparing my peak numbers to those who have dyno'd on the same dd dyno...im not too focused on peak numbers anyway...its just an easy way to portray power on the net
