dude, detailed pics as this comes along would be great, since I'm still tossing the idea between a piggy back system like this versus a Works P2 flash. . . .if you unplug everything, does the ECU reset itself back to stock and you're good to go??

you are correct on the boost wires ....(that shrink wrap is no good...get your own )
the wire/s with loop/s on the end are ground/s
the red and black wire you describe is two wires and they are used for map switching..
when they are joined together you are in the second map area.....I always put a switch on the end...
Hope this helps

you can get any switch at radio shack. I just use an insulated male and female plug instead. this way it wont confuse you which one is which map. unplug =map0 . plug together = map1

What he means is that when the red and black wire are NOT touching map0 is used and when they touch map1 is used. Installing a switch (or male/female connection) between the two wires will allow you to either complete the circuit for the second map or leave it broken for the first map.

When they are NOT touching, map 0 is used (you called it your "Stage 0" map). So if you want to use only this map, cover the ends of the wires with electrical tape to prevent the wires from touching. If you want to use map 1, attach the wires together. If you want to use both, install a switch.

EDIT: I discovered my first post had an error, it is corrected.
