Need XEDE Tuning 101...

OKay, I recently installed my XEDE and running it with just that for now until this weekend when I can get the bung welded in my downpipe for the rest of the SMART system.

So I got a pretty good map from Sackett and the car runs well(a little rich I think, but boost is holdin strong n steady). I'm just kinda gettin my feet wet with the whole Engine Management thing and to be really honest, when I open up XMap, I have no idea what I'm lookin at. Now, I'm a quick study and I did go thru the Program's Help file to read up on it, but it all still seems a little like Klingon to me...

I ran a Data Log and for now, the only variables that really change are the Freq0 In/Out and Timing Shift Out. I even know how to use Excel to create a nifty graph....but what the hell am I lookin at and how do I read this graph to make any changes? What exactly does Freq0 and Timing Shift Out refer to? Unitl I get SMART hooked up, what variables can I actually manipulate? Is there a way for me to determine what my current AFR is? I've been tryin to do some searchs but no "XEDE 101" or "XEDE for Dummies" out there. ANyway, I'd really like to get a handle on this and I know I'm a noob to this, so be gentle and maybe somebody out there can help....I know I can really mess things up if I screw around too much with it.

What I really need is somebody to sit in the car with me and run me thru some quick training...lol.

Thanks in advance.

Have you read this?

Also, the basic tuning principals are the same as anything else. there are some good guides on SAFC tuning, and the fuel table in the XEDE is exactly like using an AFC.
