Problems with boost after firmware upgrade and smart

Had this in for maybe my 2nd week and encountred 2 problems.

1. boost peaks at 10psi's and cant boost more
2. Today, my boost peaks at 13psi and cant boost more (added bleeder valve)
To fix the boosting issues, I had to restart my car.

Anyone encounted this problem? Im going to take out my glovebox and check the xede lights to see whats going on.

Should I try upgrading the firmware again?

everytime i have seen similar symptoms it has been due to the maps not loading. with the new firmware and smart system, the xede takes awhile to load up. dont just jump in the car and start it. put the ignition to 'ON' for a couple seconds before cranking it over. this will give the map time to load up.

Yep, it seems to take longer to load the 10 map setup then it did the 6 map as well. But I agree with Sackett, that has been my finding as well.

If you are not using the Methanol map, delete it and the 10 map set will load quicker.

Happened to me again today, I suspect its my car alarm - autostarting, I guess I will have to shutdown+restart once I get into the car to make sure the map loads.

Hmm, I thought the xede can load the stored map when the car is started. Anyone else experiencing this problem too?

Because of the fact that you are now loading so many maps, it will take a bit longer. What happens, is if all of the maps dont boot up before you start the car, the xede will go into bypass mode for safety. Make sure that you give it a few sec. to load everything up.
