firmware update problems
K well I hook it up according to Vishnu's instructions, fire up the Xmap3_2 and go to update firmware, the reset screen pops up and says it will automatically go away once the Xede is in boot mode. I follow the instructions of pressing ok on the firmware update, turn the ignition off and then immediately start the car, the light on the XEDE stays off but umm nothing else happens. Just stares at me daring me to throw the laptop out of the car. Please help me.

Jorge T "I used xmap v3.0.3 to update to v3.2 instead of xmap 3.2 since xmap 3.0.3 was the last version that I connected to xede, went smooth w/no hiccups."
This works? So, if I connect to my Xede using the V3.0.3 software, and click on "upload" firmware...and use the firmware file from Vishnu's website, it will update the Xede to version 3.2 firmware?
I don't need to pull and connect other wires....?

3.2 is still in beta form so the firmware updating process doesn't work (that's about the only thing left to fix). For the time being, you'll need to update firmware via XUpdate. How do I know? I just uploaded 20 XEDEs today on the bench
I can email it to you if you'd like. We'll put it back on our XEDE support page for downloading on Monday as well.

Yes. Please email me Xupdate software. Also, if you can, instructions (step by step) of how to get the Xede firmware updated. When I search the forums, I see various ways....and I am not sure what is the Vishnu acceptable way. or send me a link.
Thanks.
