hi friends today i installed my v360 with a cat delete test pipe! here is what happen:
with my car a 2005 evo 8 rs jdm model since new my car would only boost between 1.2 and 1.3 bar only on fifth gear at about 110mph this was stock!!
so yesterday it put the whole exhaust system on my car and i started boosting 1.4 bar in fifth gear at 110mph i was happy but today i went ahead and installed the cam gears the upgraded fuel pump and the xede and when i went for the test drive the boost went down to 1.2bar in fifth gear at 110mph so there was on thing left for me to try and it was the passive boost emulator got back home i took the brass restrictor pill and i bypassed the vaccum with the passive boost emulator went back for the test drive and now it hit 1.3bar in fifth gear at 110mph!! i tried to call issac all day but never got an answere i think its cause of thanksgiven holliday the crew had a well deserved vacation so if anyone here can help me ? cause i think vishnu will open till monday i will try to call issac tommorow to see if i have luck!! remeber this boost that my car sees is only in fifth gear 1 2 3 and 4 gear its less boost!! 1.3 bar =18.8lbs of boost i think this is still slow!! also issac told me i wouldnt need the passive boost emulator cause i would have fuel cut but i was only boosting 1.2 bar without it in fifth gear!!
also i made a test lick but everything was find!!
also i think my car has a 9.8 hotside not the 10.5 hotside as the MR evo 8 and it only has 5 gears not 6 gears!!! maybe cause of this i only boosted stock between 1.2 and 1.3!!
any help would be great please???
p.s: a friend of mine has a 2003 evo 8 modified by vishnu its usdm and he boosts 21psi in 1 2 3 4 5 gear why doesnt mine do this we have almost all the modifications similiar in both cars he does not have cam gears and fuel pump!!??

So did you actually Bypass the solenoid? Or did you just add the bleeder in line?

 

is it normal that i boost lower on 1 2 3 gear and it will increase boost in fourth and in fifth gear??
cause a friend of mine has an evo but with xflash and he boosts the same amount in all gears!

 

hi dustin no what i did is i followed instructions on the vishnu site for xede users!

 

i took out the restrictor pill and i added the passive emulator and conected back the vacum line to the solenoid but do you think i have to take both vaccum lines and conect them as for the 2003 and 2004 models?

 

try it without the emulator!!

 

ok so you mean just to take out the restrictor pill and reconect the vaccum hose? why? i thought it would be the same cause the emulator is just flow of air right??

I assume he is doing what I'm doing right now and that is shoving big piles of turkey down his throat.

Do you have a computer? If so, what map did you load into your xede? There is no need to run the emulator so take that out of the equation and remove it. The only thing you need to do is remove the little pill in the boost hose just before the solenoid (as per the instructions).

removing the emulator will, all things equal, drop your boost. What map are you running in your XEDE? Did you upload it yourself?
