I installed a 390 kit a few months ago. A few times a week it seems like the Excede goes into emergency mode. The led is orange instead of green and boost is limited to something like 1bar.

If I turn the ignition off and then back on the green light comes back on boost goes to 1.5 bar and everything runs great.

Anyone know what this might be? I'm running the latest firmware and map (3.2), had to upgrade the firmware on the Excede when I recieved it as the latest 3.2 maps had just come out at that time.

It's a known issue if you do a search.

Consensus is click the key to the "on" position for a few seconds before engaging the starter, as this will give the Xede time to load up the Map.

Most of use get in car, turn key to on, fasten seat belt and then crank her up. Give that a shot and see if it cures your problems.

There is actually a post from shiv saying which resistor in the Xede causes this. If you have the *****.... search and remove the resistor.... Me, I am just going to hook up a remote status LED one day...

 

it has happened to me once but i turned of the car and i started it again and it was back to normal i have the new v3.2 in my xede is this normal i know it wasnt with past firmware???
