Shiv,

Does it make sense for me to upgrade to SMART? I am currently running the V390 (will have the TME installed prior to tune).

I have a EBC. I would like to set it and forget it. I participate in open track events and like the ability to simply turn the boost down a bit for that (hence, the EBC).

So again, is SMART a good way to go if I maintain my EBC?

Thanks.

Stephen

Why do you want to maintail your EBC? By the time the dyno day rolls around, we'll be able to things with the XEDE's boost control that an aftermarket EBC can't do.

Shiv,

The main reason for the EBC is so that I can turn the boost down a little (without the need to hook up a laptop) for track events where I may run the car for 40 minute sessions. I do not wish to learn how to tune this car myself.

Is there a way to give boost to the Xede in most instances, but be able to dial it back with the EBC? Am I eliminating margin of saftey by using the EBC?

I would like to sort this out so that I am prepared for the TT tuning day.

Thanks.

Stephen

Yup 9 a day would be GREAT..

If this is the case then please put me down for XFlash and tune. My IX is overboosting and throwing a CEL with just Buschur's new bullet TBE with test pipe. This happened when it was around 18 degrees out. The CEL is off now and I am NOT making it come on again

Troy,

Can my V390 be upgraded to SMART (my downpipe has the bung) immediately prior to the tune?

Thanks.

You mean the physical installation of the probe, gauge, etc...? I think you'd have to make an appointment w/TT for a early morning install. Pls let me know if this is addressing your question.

Thanks, Troy

I ordered the SMART a few weeks ago, but have not yet received it. I do not know how difficult the install is. I know there are some wires that need to be connected/soldered, and I thought perhaps Shiv or someone else could assist with that.

i'm in the same boat w/you. i have recieved my kit, had the bung welded in and that's it so far. i currently have a tt flash, so i really don't want to try and get the xede plugged in again cause i don't want to drive it all the way to tt all funky. the week before i'm going to go ahead and install the wideband and power it up (don't want to put the wideband in the bung w/no power, it'll get munged up). then shiv has to re-xflash my ecu, upload v3 (my xede still has v2) to the xede and finish the wiring wideband > xede... oh, and then tune! i read that vishnu is supposed to have a pnp harness for the smart very soon. hopefully that will be available by the tuning day. let me know if you need any help... i think i said all i know, but i'm happy to help anyway i can

If they have a harness, then it should be pretty simple. Keep me posted as to how yuo plan on getting everything done.

I will let you know my plans as well.

Yes, the goal will be to have all of this done prior to rolling onto the dyno.

Shiv will definitely not have the time to be unmung things

Right now, I am waiting to get a link from Sean@Vishnu for the payment methods. Next, I'll start to help tackle some of these issues
