XEDEFlash and REV LIMIT

I need to send my EDU in for the XEDEFlash. I am concerned about having my rev limit raised. Is it really safe to run the RPM's up to 7800?

Just curious because I find myself bouncing off the 1st gear rev limiter daily (sandy roads make oversteering easy)....I would hate to have it raised and continued to bounce off of it only at a higher RPM.

Thoughts?
