Hey Shiv, SSQV is giving me Fits!

Shiv, have you had any problems with HKS SSQVs causing compressor surge at partial throttle in 6th gear? I have the XFlash on my evo 9, and it really bucks and flutters, and I think I might be damaging the turbo. Is there a way I can adjust it? Should I just dump the BOV completely? I am running 23 pounds of boost with my Profec Spec 2. Please Help!.

I'd get rid of it and put the stock valve back on. It'll hold boost just fine

I think any VTA bov for the most part will cause surge with partial throttle and release while in boost. But search evom.net and you'll find a slew of info.

dont buy a forge bov, the stock ones on the 9s should be more then good enough. If anything buy a intake to satisfy the ricer in you; that way you can hear it blow-off (just get it tuned for that intake).
