I was recently offered a fair amount of money for my stock evo IX intercooler, and am now looking to upgrade (since I live in sunny florida and love to autocross in the summer). I am wondering if anyone had experience with an evo IX with a new intercooler that retains the front crash beams and requires little or no bumper modification. Also, who makes a reputable piping set?

Why ARC?

 

Easily one of the premier manufacturers of any heat exchanger. Their fin design is superb, but you pay for it. Hence the "baller" comment.

I would have to go with Nisei or the Buschur Race... then AMS.

 

I have the AMS and it looks as it was made for it, AMS has a pic Im sure if you ask they will post it.

AMS. in hard street driving, where intercooler inlet temps are pushing 100C, rarely see my intercooler outlet temp rise much more than ~10C above ambient temp - it's pretty awesome
