Vishnu upgrade path question..no BS!

Info needed....no BS! Switching to Vishnu.

Today, 03:08 AM #14
I currently have the following: Al Flash, Busher 3" TBE w/high flow cat, magnacore, K/N, Walbro, Hallman MBC and dynoed out at 250hp and 270tq on a Mustang. I would like to add maybe 50 more reliable HP. I will not be tuning or changing maps etc....I am going to do mostly suspension upgrades from here on out...questions:

Xflash or xede? what does the passive boost do..better than MBC Hallman

cams: HKS or GSC 264's (I have a credit at GSC)

cam gears: Can I use Vishnu's cam gears if I use the GSC cams?

Set me straight! I need to get squared up by April 29th in St. Louis...

Thanks in advance!

Xflash or XEDE will work good either path you choose. The passive boost is for the Xflash boost control.

HKS or GSC cams will work fine.

The Vishnu gears will work w/ both cams.

Got it....I have a Hallman MBC do most of you prefer it to the flash boost control?

Shiv prefers to not use a boost controller because you loose the ability of the ECU to control boost (through the XEDE).

On the x-flash the Boost controller can be use, as we are manually controlling boost as well. However, with the xede, we use the factory boost controller. I would suggest the xede, just because it is so darn cheap right now, and has much more expandability than a flash.

I went from a very similar setup (except I didn't have the magnacores) to a v360 SMART setup which put down 280whp on Dyno4mance's DD dyno. So I'd say 300whp would be a pretty reasonable estimate with cams. I'd also recommend the Xede w/ SMART even though you don't plan to change maps because of the part throttle and safety improvements.
