I bought my XEDE roughly around September 2004, does it have a knock signal buffer? If it doesn't, is the knock signal buffer purely for someone who wants to monitor knock? Will the SMART system work fine without it ?

Assuming the wideband sensor will fail at some point in time, how much does the replacement run for? Last question, hopefully. I was custom tuned by shiv on October 2004, do I continue using the same custom map along with the new smart maps? Thanks!

 

IMHO, the knock buffer is the most important item and it does monitor knock.

Your XEDE does not have it.
