When I get Rich Biaaatttccchhh!

Shiv when I get rich again, lower Ghetto class by your standards, I want to get an Evo 9. However, not sure of how far I want to go this time around. My stage 3 was awesome! But being that I no longer have "Peace Officer" privileges my level of modding will have to be moderate this time around. Getting out of messes and inspections will not happen I am sure. No manifold unless it can be hidden by a heat shield and the exhaust has to be toned down etc. Basically I want exhaust and flash for both 91 octane and 100 octane.

So with that said I need a lil clarification on the Ecutec reflash abilities on the Evo IX. I have read that it has 6 different maps etc. and somewhere it alluded to different maps due to octane differences. From what I deduced from the article was that there might be no need for the Xede on the Evo IX in my case because u can put a race gas map on the Ecutec reflash and once the ecu adapts itself to the level of octane it will revert to that map. Please clarify if this is possible or just conjecture etc.

I already know I am an Ape so please answer even if my question proves the" Theory of Evolution" and that "Natural Selection" missed my family.

No real map switching for the ecu reflash yet

Sucks! I guess, if I get a IX ,I will have to wait for the xede harness to come out to run a high boost/octane map.

Or buy another ECU from Mitsu.

I would enjoy the IX stock for a while and hang in there until the Xede becomes available.
