Houston Dyno Tales: Zarathustra's White Rabbit setup
It was good to see Zarathustra again. His has, IIRC, full exhaust, bigger injectors, pump, cams, White Rabbit turbo, and a few other bits.
It was previously road tuned via Reflash by another tuner (who shall remain nameless). The XEDE was still in there only controlling boost, for the most part. We reflashed it with an XEDEFlash (for the larger injectors) which, in itself, picked up 20-25whp up top. Then we tuned the XEDE will picked up power everywhere else.
The results weren't as good as the cars with stock turbos, unfortunately. Not going to take a guess at why. That's up to the reader. The car literally refused to make the power it should. Despite a lot of effort.

Road Tune vs. Dyno Tune: WHP and Torque

Boost was held constant. Fueling was modified slightly. Biggest change were in ignition timing tuning. Which seems to be a tough nut to crack when it comes to road tuning. Without being able to properly quantify the gain or loss of each change in ignition advance, a tuner can't make educated decisions on each successive mapping change. It's like flying a plane blindfolded, IMHO. This is also supported by another road tuned car (belonging to Lowness). More on that later...
