I checked my Xede and it alsoe has the M letter next to the flashing light. It also has a V3 sticker on it.

I also think that my problem is a map switching problem. Anyway I can get that base firmware that you mention, Dustin?

Nope, we only do that in house.

Reload the normal 3.2smart firmware from our site, and your maps.

Is it this firmware http://vishnutuning.com/secret/XCode...T_Firmware.zip

It says SMART, but I do not have SMART. I just want to make sure.

I tried to re-load the firmware using the instructions on the vishnu site, but it did not work. When I get to this step

"After clicking “Yes” immediately turn the car off, and then immediately start the car. Xmap should then go through a process of “erase,” “program,” Ect. followed by the verification."

nothing will happen afterwards. The Xede does not go through the erase and verification steps. The Xede will do nothing at all.

I think my Xede has a transition problem like the OP of this thread. I am going to have to ship it to you and hopefully you can fix it.

Do you want me to send it with the harness so you can test that as well? How much time will it take to fix and send back to me?

NJ, check the voltage on the wire that you are using to flash the XEDE. It needs to go from 12V to 14V when you start the car...

I used the red wire that powers up the xede as stated in Dustin's write-up. I did not check the voltage, however.

I already removed the Xede from the car since I need the car to get around. I will ship it to Vishnu and have them do the needed work. Mighrt as well send it so they can do the overheat protection bypass while they are at it.
