Boost Vs WHP Evo 9

Okay the question I have is that what if you up the boost to hold 18-20 until redline will that make more power? I know this can be done and I did it with my xede in the past, I put a few of Shiv's magic inline bleaders in line which ran too much boost, then I turned down the duty cycle in the xede under 5k and let it rip on the top end. It seems that no one does this with the Vishnu stuff and boost farts down to 15psi at the top. What if say you ran it too 19-20 psi at the top? I know you are going to say "It's out of it's VE range" and it maybe but my car with the 1+ put down more then the 20 other evo's there that day with the same mods running that much boost.

Unless I'm missing something here..... install a MBC and get a tune.

True, but who do people not run the higher boost up top? Also a MBC is okay but you can do the same with the boost pill and the wastegate tighten deal and then just tune around do.

I'm sure there are all sorts of trickery you can do. You won't have any control of your boost though. An MBC is by far still the best way. I run mine 21-22psi.... and of course it holds it to redline.
