Weather change on east coast
here lately the weather was around 60-70 degrees at night due to the rain and hurricane we got in NC. now my question is does the temperature affect my a/f ratio readings. on my way to the track my buddy noticed that i was running lean, and thats not good. i got a mail in flash from vishnu in july with an exhaust job. was running kinda rich anyways from there without the tune. but should i worry about this problem since its getting cooler out, and does the temperature actually affect you a/f ratio. IF so then please shiv come back down here to dyno4mance so you can make some happy people once again. Or is there any other alternative until shiv gets his hands on my ride again.......... lataz guys

he said i was lean cause when i stomped on it in front of him he saw a blueish smoke coming out the pipe. i told him i should be running a lil rich (like you told me andrew and what the dyno told us too) but he said i was running lean due to that colorish smoke. but anyhow let me know what to look for cause i dont have a a/f ratio gauge yet. i know a lil smoke out the pipe means im rich (right?) but what should i look for to let me know im running rich.
p.s. and by the way best time was 12.9 @108mph with a .75 RT with stock clutch

Blue smoke is burning oil right? Running rich would see black smoke if Im not mistaken. Stomping on the gas will cause some smoke to come out but its not abnormal. You wont really be able to tell your running rich without a wideband. The only indication will be the smoke that appears upon flooring it

1) Do not listen to anything your friend says again
2) Do not listen to scare mongerers on this board that say you car is burning oil
3)Do not bother about getting your car checked...It is fine
Of course just kiddin around...The smoke your friend saw was very likely a whisp of fuel smoke at the top end.....as I said your car is very slightly on the rich side above 6000 rpm and will display the symptoms your buddy described
FWIW just change the oil at the cars regular service interval and you will be fine..

Don't sweat the AFR, the only thing to keep an eye on when the weather gets cooler is your boost ... although I hardly think 60 degrees would cause much concern. Try running your car when it's -10 outside ... hellooooo boost spike.

yeah i noticed that i spiked to 24.5 psi on my boost gauge. that surprised the hell outta me. was kinda excited but worried at the same time. should i really worry about the boost or should i just take it easy on her until shiv can come down and custom tune my car?? i really need this custom tune. and yeah for you andrew, when i come down again im gonna try and see if you can install a clutch and flywheel for me. and whatever else you got for me.
I peak at 1.7 bar after getting tuned by shiv. You can rest assured that Andrew wouldnt steer you wrong. He's a great guy and I was pleased to find out for myself when I was down in GA. Take it easy until your tuned and then once your tuned you wont have to worry because it will be tuned to run smooth
