Map and injector questions

Hello, I was previously tuned by Shiv when I had: xede, TBE, cams, cam gears, intake, and a fuel pump. Since then I have installed an Evo IX turbo, ex. mani, 680cc injectors. I was wondering what map I should run until I get a tune? Can I continue to use the map I was tuned for? Also I was debating whether or not to keep using the 680cc injectors (I put them on when I had a 20g on the car) or should I put the stockers back on?
Lastly, would anyone happen to know if Shiv is going to come back to Texas anytime soon? Thanks in advance

With your mods, there doesn't appear to be a need for the extra expense of an injector upgrade. You should go back to the stockers, thus avoiding the cost of having the ECU scaled as well.

I'd think that you should be able to safely drive with your current custom Shiv map at least until you get it retuned. It should work fine, especially on pump gas and at moderate boost levels up to about 22#. Above that boost level, the IX turbo would probably be moving significantly more air than your old turbo with the 9.8 HS and your existing tune may be a tad lean for that.

What cams are you running and where do you have them set at? I am running what is essentially a TME w/a ported 10.5 and O2 hsg., whereas you are running a IX turbo. I eventually want to upgrade my TME to the IX compressor side. My car has a bit more mods than yours and I am logging fine with just an off the shelf '04, 91 oct., 390 map with an extra 0.2* of timing pulled out above 5000 RPM. No knock @ 24# on pump.

On my previous tune I was hitting around 24/25 psi. according to my boost gauge. I have only made a short 2nd gear pull up to 5,000 rpm and hit 24 psi. I'm still a little concerned about taking it up to redline, I just don’t want to break anything. I have my cam gears set at what vishnu's website specifies (-3,-3). I'm running HKS cams (264 in, 272 ex.). Hopefully Shiv will be able to tune me for my new modifications soon.

Yup, I'd say take it easy till you get Shiv to do the retune. If you're boosting to 25# in the intermediate gears at 5500 RPM, then it'll probably climb to at least 27# floored in 4th and 5th.

Can't you lower the boost in your XEDE boost table? If not, then maybe some other XEDE user with a laptop, in the Houston area can do it for you. Or, get yourself an inexpensive DejonTools MBC, which is what I, and most people in SoCal run, and lower your boost mechanically until Shiv gets to town.
