Exclamation Anyone with a Evo 9 do the 380-400HP upgrade from Vishnu?

I'm just curious to see if anyone has done the 380-400HP upgrade for the Evo 9 from Vishnu.

I'm not trying to bash the company but how can Vishnu gain so much HP when other reputable tuners can't even come close.

I'm also interested to see dyno sheets if possible.

Thanks,
I</3Lag

380/400 is bhp - not at the wheels; unless you're talking Stage II.

The 380 package for the IX is similiar to gains made by other top quality flashes. Whether that is an accurate number of engine horsepower isn't really important. Use chassis dyno plots of actual cars to make your purchase decision.

One thing you are going to find is a large variance in price and opinions on what is worth the money and what isn't. Many folks try to pass off preference as fact. If something is more expensive ask _why_ it is more expensive.

And that's more than other tuners?

my numbers = about 400bhp - A very safe tune, been to the track a bunch without so much as a hiccup

Oh yeah - I have no cat

you can get 400hp with a turboback exhaust, boost controller, and a flash with the IX. it makes me sick just thinking about it.

the stage 0 package for the IX pulls 380 hp at the flywheel, but on a dyno it gets 270whp.

the stage 1 package gets about 400 hp at the flywheel, and it dynos at just above 300whp.

Now get the test pipe and you will pull 315-320 whp on a stage 1.

Add the exed computer with the 2 map capabilities and run one with your 91/93 map and the other with a 100 octane map.

With the 100 octane map, test pipe and stage 1 you should be able to pull 350 at the wheels IMO.

Would you need to upgrade anything like the clutch to handle the extra power?

If you drag race or launch often - yes!

I do not drag or launch - I road race only; I plan on having the OE clutch a long time

Are you sure about crank HP here? Sounds a wee bit too high. A 20-30% drivetrain loss for you stated figure should be about 266-304 whp...ahhh. Just figured it out. You must be reading from a mustang dyno. Wow, 380 hp on an Evo. Doesn't sound bad at all.
