T-bolt clamps needed for Stage 0?

I am interested in getting the Stage 0 Xflash done by Vishnu in a few weeks, and I just wanted to know from people who have had it done - do the stock IC clamps pop off when boosting, because I hear it is like 22 or 23 psi after the flash?

To be honest it all the depends on ur car. For example when I was first tuned by Shiv I made 333whp and I had stock pipes and clamps and it never popped off. Then my next tune I got Nisie intercooler pipes with T-Bolt clamps and they never popped off either. I guess it all depends on u. As I see it, it not necessary.

So for the 9 you need the clamps? What is the difference between the 8 and 9 stock IC piping?

There's no need to upgrade or change them unless they are popping off. I had the stock clamps on my car for a pretty long while before one ever popped off for the first time (~30k miles). I ran a t-bolt clamp for a while there and it eventually popped off and now I'm back on a stock clamp. Like someone else said it's basically just depends on whether or not they are staying on or off now.

A lot of IX did have them pop off. The clamps and piping is the same, I guess Mitsu just didnt tighten them as well as the VIIIs.

My IX on popped off when stock, my VIII never poped off.

There was a list with every T-bolt clamp you need. If want change them. It is not that hard to do, and should not cost that much money. I myself am running stock clamps and boosting to 29PSI, no problems yet! (knocks on wood)

i had mine popped off after putting in a new exhaust. bought some t-bolt and nothing so far. my buddies never had any problems and we have fairly identical mods. it's all on the car i guess. it could happen to anyone.
