Vishnu in Dallas
Vishnu in Dallas
Hey Shiv, I was just wondering if you had thought about using some shops in other parts of the country. There is a new shop in Dallas www.wasabiracing.com and I had a chance to go up there and meet some of the guys last night before we went to a car meet. All I can say is that they have a HUGE work area that is clean enough to eat off of the floor (not that I would want to!) and to me that in itself says a lot about a shop. One of the guys there named Mike used to work for Kenny Tran's shop, JoTech, and he seems to know what he is doing. He has installed some pieces for people from Vishnu and said that they would not mind selling and installing your products as he was very impressed with the workmanship, fit, and finish of the pieces from your shop that they have installed. Besides that they are about to get an all wheel drive Eddie Current Mustang dyno in this next month.
Anyway, I was just curious if you would work through some other shops around the country as Cali would be one hell of a drive for me!

I understand not wanting to tune on certain types of dyno's, but this is not the normal Mustang dyno like at MZM or FIS. It is one of only two Eddie Current Mustang dyno's in the country at this time, not an inetia dyno like the normal mustangs or dynojets. I do not know who makes the dyno that Vishnu uses, but I do know that the dyno Wasabi is getting is an Eddie Current dyno like that of which Shiv preffers.

I think the new Mustang dyno has improved resolution over the older style. If that's the case and what they are getting, maybe things could work out. Mustang dynos aren't bad dynos. It's just that the ones I've used didn't have the resolution necessary to pick up knock control retard activity due to the way it smoothens out the graph after the run. And the pre-smoothened raw data was a bit to noisey to make sense of. But, last I heard, Mustang is/was in the process of redesigning it from the ground up.
