vishnu stage 1 TOTAL cost
The one problem that I've had with the EXEDE was a check engine light for "misfire", mine came on as engine approached redline. When it was read at Autozone, the code showed multiple misfire.
It has been acknowledged by Vishnu in some other posts that some folks will get "misfire". It's not a major concern to me though... I had purchased the colder spark plugs from Vishnu but didn't install them right away... I reset the code and installed the colder plugs gapped to .024 inch and torqued the plugs to 18 ft.lb. It has been about 250 miles now, including a few hard test runs but have not had any misfire detected yet. Hopefully the plugs was all I needed to rectify that.
- On occasion during hard or gentle acceleration I will get what I'll call as a "hiccup" due to lack of words. I'll feel a slight thump and slight rpm flux as if the car lost ignition momentarily. It used to scare me but I've came to the acceptance that there is usually compromise with performance.
No detonation as far as my ears can tell... to ensure that I don't get any, I usually run 98 octane fuel. (I mix what ever I put in premium 93 octane then drive down the street and add the same amount of 103 octane stuff) May seem cumbersome but it gives me a peace of mine ... plus I drive the car less than 500 miles a month so I don't gas up that often.
(Installation for the EXEDE is quite easy but the hardest part was removing the restrictor pill!! That was a B@!#! to remove! I didn't make it the last 1/2 inch because my figers were so numb! I just clippled the last 1/2 inch since there was enough slack in the hose to cover it.)

There should be no such hiccup or ignition cut. If you are feeling it during full boost, you are getting boost cut which is triggered when MAF readings go above a certain threshold at certain engine speeds. To rectify the situation, simply reduce the values in the boost table using XMap. The how to has been convered on this forum forum before.
Hope that helps...
