Yo Shiv and Co...
I see the project Evo from SCC stopped by your shop awhile back (Feb SCC). They mention in the article that their ECU was acting "different", and that you had a heck of a time getting it tweaked. Any speculation about what's up with that based on your experience?
Just figured since you show up here a lot you could maybe enlighten us.
You guys rock!

Hi there,
It seemed as if some of the early production cars, designed primarily for press circulation, were tuned a bit more agressively than the production cars that you and I drive. I recall baselining SCC's EVO (back when it was stock) on our dyno and finding it to be 10-15whp stronger than any other stock EVO I've tested. Great stuff until you start to tweak it and realize that there isn't that much left in it. Especially on the 91 octane junk we run on in CA.
Cheers,
shiv

Just read a bit in SCC about the latest results on Project Evo . . . sounded like a cluster-you-know-what!
It was good to hear the results with the RMR exhaust. Been a huge Rhys/Rod Millen fan since I first got into rallying, and RMR'sMitsu gear has almost always been reliable and proven.
It seems that after the first initial year or so of the introduction of a model, the aftermarket is inundated with performance parts, and a lot of owners concentrate highly on the results of the Vishnu Evo to help them make more informed decisions about future Evo mods. Having been on import forums for more than 3 years and having owned a decent number of tuner cars over the past 3-5 years, I continue to be intrigued with the results.
I'll stay tuned!

That sucks that
would not give a car that is offered to the public to the press. Now that's why after a while a new car that has bin out, the performance always less then the first Press car they test when the car came out.
So what would be the honest 0-60 times? and 1/4?
