XFlash for Stock EVO-- update

Hi guys,

Made some new progress on our XFlash ECU. Picked up, oh around, 25ft-lbs of torque in the midrange Tested it on 3 stock EVOs today and all had the same dyno results, despite exhibiting huge run-to-run variance when running the stock ECU. Wait 'till you see the dyno results. I'll post 'em asap

Cheers,
Shiv

I love those results I assume no factory boost cut is taking place in the lower range so we can operate the turbo in a more efficient compressor range just fine?! Good job shiv I am tempted to pull the ecu to send it off now Brett said the Xedeflashes prolly wont change much after the upcoming dyno days?

Awesome job of Vishnu further maximizing the stock turbo and giving us more of that goodness we already have
Also Should I just wait and send you both my xede and xflash in the begining of feb?

I want to know how does the xflash stage 1 go up against the xede stage 1? And how does it compare with both xede and xflast together?

Shiv or Brett,

Can we send you our ECUs for Xflashing or are you in the middle of some upgrading/adjustments? Also, have you had a chance to post the new dyno?

1) Since this is the factory ECU that is being reflashed, if I were to take my vehicle in for warranty work or any work that requires them to hook up to my ECU, I'd be screwed, wouldn't I? Solution = ship back to Vishnu to get flashed back to stock? (assuming this wouldn't cost too much)

2) How long can I expect to be without my ECU once it has been shipped to you?

3) Are there any benefits to getting the XEDE instead of the XFlash for somebody like myself who has no intention of ever playing with the existing maps? +60 HP over stock is probably as wild as I will get as I need to keep this car as a daily driver.

Thank you for your time.
Hey Shiv,

Could you answer the questions above posted from another thread? Plus I have a few of my own.

4) How will the laptop or PC connect to the ECU? Through OBDII or will there be a serial interface similar to XEDE? I only want the ability to change maps for different mods without having to send it off and pay for different mappings. That's what's keeping me away from DynoFlash. I am not interested in tuning the maps myself.

5) Can you go into more details an what the PC software will be able to do? i.e. logging, realtime gauges, DTCs, Freeze Data, and other standard OBDII features?

6) I read on your site that is can control boost limits? Is that the same capability that XEDE has? Also XEDE has the enhanced knock algorithms, will the XFlash have those as well?

7) Can I buy an ECU off the shelf to have flashed so that I can keep my stock ECU? Would you need to extract the image from my stock ECU to put in VIN info and other identification info?

Thanks for your time,
smanders
