I just found out that at least one customer was using Xupdate to upload and download maps into their XEDE.
Don't do this. This is outdated software and is not 100% compatible with the current XEDE firmware. This is why it has been removed from the website months ago. Go ahead and uninstall it from your computer.
If you haven't been doing so already, please use XMAP (which is freeware) for all your uploading, downloading and tuning needs
