MAP for Cams?
MAP for Cams?
Hey... I just installed my HKS 272 cams and cam gears as well as 650cc injectors and fuel pump. I wanted to see if anyone out there has an Xede map for this combination or similar setup?
I have had to take out lots of fuel due to the injectors. With my LM1 in hand I have leaned it out a bit. More tuning is needed, but more curious what changes people are making with the cams installed? Any timing changes? And where people are setting their cam gears to?
If you can send me your map that would be cool. I am willing to share any information I have as well.
Thanks for your help!
Later.

Tell shiv to update his website man, it should not be such a pain in the *** to get maps. I have the 91 map for cams and can send you that but Shiv needs to be doing this **** NOT his customers..... Hire someone to do the web Shiv, hell if you were not on this board all you would know about is stage 1, not 1+ or 2....

Due to the injector issue, John's map will be completely different from the stadard Stage 1+ map. Both in ignition timing as well as fuel. Again, I won't have a 93octane Stage 1+ map until the trip out to DC later this month. Until then, just use the standard Stage 1 map which is currently on the website. I've already talked to John about injector compensations via PM.

Thanks Shiv! For your post and PM. I wanted to see what peoples timing map looked like. How much timing they had with cams & cam gears installed. By adding 650cc injectors I know my fuel map won't be the same (unless someone else is using those injectors) but the timing should. Well going out now with the Stage 1 map and going to tune a bit. Also retarding the cam gears. Thanks for the help!

Timing will need to be reduced as well since MAF attenuation will results in a bit more advance. Not much, maybe just an extra .5-1 deg of retard might be needed over the regular Stage 1+ map (which, btw, is now the website).
