Why do you bleed boost on the XFlash and not on the XEDE?

Check out the two Boost graphs below...

XFlash:

XEDE:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...&postid=675386

I know that the XEDE car has a dump back exhaust, but why does it carry boost higer into the rev ranges, where the XFlash car doesn't? The dump back shouldn't have any effect on how long you carry boost for, should it?

Do you have Boost and AFR maps for an XEDE equipped car vs. a XFlash car, both being stock?

Thanks.

The full exhaust has a big effect on the boost levels we map for. Trying to run sustained boost to redline with the stock exhaust doesn't yeild very good results due to backpressure issues. That's the gist of it

There are a bunch of dyno plots with afr and boost already on this forum (see stickies). Not sure if there is on of the XEDE on a stock car but the next time I do one on the dyno, I'll post it.

Cheers,
Shiv

That answers my question. Thanks.

Btw, how much boost can you run with the XFlash with the dump back exhaust (on 91 oct). I imagine that it can't be that high due to knock issues, but maybe in lower rev ranges?

Btw, the stock car with XEDE vs. XFlash hp plot that you posted on the sticky didn't have AFR and Boost plots for each car. That would be very interesting to see...
