I was reading yesterday about how SHIV control the boost taper with the XEDE. 23 psi spike to 21psi and then tapers to around 19 psi. When I wan't sure who to go with I decided to get the Stage Rev from AL. I got rid of the boost taper. So what I am saying am I screwed now that I bought the VIshnu Stage 1. Will there be any adverse affects becasue of the flash?

just kidding. No problem with running the reflash with the XEDE. Just make sure that all it does is raise the rev limit and remove the boost taper. The first has no bearing on XEDE mapping. Neither does the second since the XEDE will relieve the factory computer of boost duties.

See I am very impulsive. I got the dynocrap before I knew about the XFLASH. I should have known that SHIV would have come out with his own flash. SO stupid am I!!! Well if SHIV does come down in March to Dallas I will be getting the XFLASH along with the XEDE tune.

MP5 why in the hell did Dynoflash give you a positive rating?? I thought you had the rev stage from Dynoflash??

 

I have a mail order DynoFlash and Al has benn very cool about my request to send the ECU back to him to set it to keep the higher rev limit (actually going to 8500 RPM since I have installed the Works springs and retainers) and the fuel cut and top speed removal. He is going to put the timing and A/F ratio back to normal so that Shiv has a clean slate to work from. It also has a bit of a lope now due to the 272/272 combo. I originally had a 264/272 combo but the shop accidentally sold me DSM cams. When I took them back they only had the 272/272 Evo cams and the car was torn apart in my fathers garage at the time so I just went with the 272/272 combo. The cams really opened the top end up....it just keeps right on pulling past when the redline is now at 7750 RPM. It just does not feel like it is falling off much if at all.

 

Hell no I dont! All Vishnu I did have a buschur Exhaust that I sold but Evo is all Vishnu. The positive was because I used to recomemd mailorder dynoflashes (Before the Xflash) to guys that called me or pmed me that had no business having an Xede because they couldnt afford it or because I have seen what they have done to their graphic Equalizers (Although its debateable the same methods arent in use with "other" reflashes) That was back when I was full steam ahead on Al and he thought it classy that Id recomend his product. You know one of those things

No, not at all just tried to get your email on your profile and happen to see the dynoflash rating. So I thought you got the Rev stage because you were a Xede user. I was thinking of doing that too but I thought Dynoflash was Pruven not Al.
