so the other day at the norcalevo.com meet i got the xede/xflash installed on my car and dyno'ed 250.1 whp on the DD (also have standard turbo back). not a bad amount of power for just a stage 0+. the car was running strong till last nite. my friend wanted to see how my car compared to his stock evo (with 980 miles on it) on the freeway. being where i am, santa cruz, home of the emptiest freeways at night, i decided what the hell. 3rd gear punch..nail it...and he's keeping up with me...keeping up with me... and this continued till i let off.

WTF???

i think its a boost leak or something. becuase if my ecu tuning managed to...well...erase itself.. my turbo back would have at least given me an edge. any ideas?

Do you have a boost gauge?

Did the car feel like it had less power than before?

Are you positive the other evo was completely stock? What about your weight and junk in the trunk, etc? What about fuel. Which gear were you in: 4th or 5th? What gear was he in?

I can tell you this: I pitty the stock Evo that challenges me in conditions that don't require skill You know, straight roads.

Hey did you check connectivity of your boost wires (into the XEDE harness and into the ECU connector)?

I bet your XEDE's boost connection came off. This will drop you to 10-12psi and your car will feel slow Just hook it back up and secure it with electrical tape or shrink wrap. That will fix it.
