xede start up clicking

Okay just wanted to ask the people that have the xede about the series of clicks it has on start up. If my car is warm as soon as I start it the xede clicks for about 2-3 seconds. If it cold about 40 out it will do the clicking in a few min once the temp gauge moves up. Now if it is 20 out it takes a while for the xede to do it's clicking thing. Now all this clicking is NOT in boost it is just at idle when the car is started. Now is this the same fore everyone or does anyone have one that clicks on startup regardless of outside temp?

Thanks again for the help, no more 0300 errors for some reason now just xede ?'s

Mine does the clicking thing a few seconds after I start my car. But it doesn't get really cold in S.D. so I can't comment there.

ya i get the same issue. i am pretty sure its normal.. the xede is fine so far. i been running it for 300 miles and not one issue .. but yes i get the if its cold out once the car gets a certain temperture it will click. unless the car is already warm than it clicks when i turn on the ignition... i think vishnu said it had something to do with the solenoid doing a boost check once the cars to a certain temp.

Before the concerns start rolling in , please remember that the clicking as nothing to do with the XEDE or its functionality. It's just the factory ECU driving the dummy solenoid on the XEDE harness. It's frequency and interval will depend on TPS, coolant temp, MAF, altitude, etc,.

Haha I just found out about the dumb solenoid clicking when I installed the Xede this morning.
