Comparing a sub-zero and Stage 1+ Evo
Just got finished meeting up with Smogrunner today. As everyone knows, he is running a stage 1+ Evo. I have a sub-zero Evo.
First thing I noticed is his exhaust, even running catless, is very very quiet. Smogrunner drove first and showed what first and second gears could do. All I can say is his car is a monster. It feels as if the car is on steroids. Unlike my Evo, his car not only pushes your head back into the headrest it pushes your entire body into the seats.
Afterwards, he let me take it for a test drive. I was impressed with the awesome power band his vehicle had. The car pulled hard even when it was in the low RPM range. It's amazing what a few bolt on products can do for our cars.
I then let Smogrunner drive my Evo, he has never driven a staged sub-zero car and was curios to what it could do. He was impressed and liked the fact that the car was more drivable and had a better power band than a stock Evo.
All I can say is that I am now saving my pennies to get that stage 1+ setup.
Also, does any one have a customed tuned map for a sub-zero car for 91 octane or higher maps.
Thanks,
Gnulooks...

Hi all,
First, I know there is someone out there that has a custum tuned 91 octane map that Gnulooks could drive around on. Right??? More importantly, does anyone have a stage sub-zero 100 octane map I could help Gnulooks load in xmap bank 1? If yes, email them to me at smogrunner at comcast dot net.
I really loved driving a nearly stock evo again. Gnulook's was showroom clean and even though it had 25 to 30 more hp than stock, it helped me realize how fast my car is now with the 1+. I always upgraded one mod at a time and never really got the full monty all at once like today.
Gnulooks and I are trying to plan a Carlsbad Race day in a week so that is why we are looking for some kick *** maps for him. My next big mod for the dragstrip will be to turn off at AC before racing. Doh!

I drove a friend's stock Evo yesterday to try out his Kumho Ecsta MX tires, as my A046 are dying. Stock cars are so nice and quiet. There's something really nice about them. But I'd much rather have the HP!
Plus, if I actually had a Vishnu exhaust, my car would probably sound better.
