Question Question for "Joeycoates"...

...I ran accross one of your posts, a while ago before the last tuning session, and I do remember that you asked a question about tuning with your crank pulley (from UR), etc.

What was your experience? Did you take it out before the tuning session, or, by the contrary, you kept it?

Thanks for your answer, and kind regards,

Vulcan

We had too many delays for a back-to-back test. I wanted to try it, but as it was Shiv did not get done dynoing until nearly 2:00 AM, so we were just not able to do a test. We did not however notice any knock activity or the ECU pulling timing for whatever reasons, it ran strong from start to stop. Maybe there are some problems with just a DynoFlash, but we did not see any with the Xede, XFlash combo. And by the way, my car did have the days highest HP and Torque numbers, so who knows, it might have helped. We sure did not see it hurting the numbers.

I saw no abberrant timing/knock retard issue with joey's crank pulley equipped car. Behaved just as nicely on the dyno as the other factory pulley equipped cars. Of course, this is a sample pool of one so I'm not going to make any sweeping conclusions. I don't believe that removing it would have helped power as some have suggested.
