That dynojet seems to be a good 15whp average higher than the one in Dallas.

Yep, and the one at Pruven seems to be even higher.

According to those numbers, a EVO Stage 0+ is faster than a WRX Stage 2? I ask as my friend is going Stage 2 here soon and I'm going Stage 0+ in the future.

Your going to walk him. I walked a Stage 2 custom tuned WRX with a PE1818f. With just a test pipe in my EVO.

Maybe, maybe not....

I wouldn't say I walked, but I came out ahead on a muffler-deleted car with safc....and I had just the base map for my stage 2 wrx. I believe there's an old post about it on these forums somewhere...

Once Noize got a mbc, cat-delete pipe and more aggressive safc settings, yeah, he walked me then. Anyways, I think it will be closer than a "walking"

Cooter bro dont get all bent out on this the subies are wonderful cars and many of us have had them including Eric. The EJ205 isnt the engine the 4G63 is but the subie has its own merits that should be enjoyed! I know you get kinda put off by the whole straight line thing but you just need to keep it in perspective and enjoy all cars like the enthusiast you are my bro!

TDC who are you??

I never said Scoobys are bad just that I walked one with one mod. But also the EVOs gearing is lower and highway speeds the EVO just moves up to speed faster.

The gearing certainly helps the EVO but I think the real advantage comes from the boost response provided by the close coupled, twin scroll turbo. This allows the relatively huge 16G to spool up considerably quicker than the relatively smaller VF30/34/22 turbos. Subies loose a lot of exhaust velocity and heat between the exhaust valves and the turbine inlet due to the two feet of exhaust plumbing (split header and upipe) which induces lag. They do have a super efficient intake side due to their top mount IC design (less than a foot of IC plumbing) which helps a bit though.

It would be interesting to test a WRX Type C with its own twin scroll turbo design. Subary certainly doesn't rest on its laurels when going head to head with Mitsu. And that is good for all of us, no?

Yes when we pulled over and lifted up the hoods my little 16g was RED HOT and the PE1818 was not.
