Howdy folks,

Shiv's closest listed installation shop is I think Colorado. Has anyone had a stage 1 signature installed anywhere near Chicago? I'm looking to get one setup before the Chicago dyno-day, but obviously I'd like to have the install performed by someone that is reputable, knows what they're doing and has references....

i don't mind getting my hands dirty at all, and for most of the week I'm in Bloomington/Normal... My biggest concern is that if I mod my ride that it doesn't turn into a hack-job, but is done right.

 

The more you feel comfortable doing yourself the less you have to pay the pros

 

Well ... yeah. Basically I will be doing all of the interior mods myself, but when it comes to engine/exhaust mods, I'm just not up-to-par skillz-wise. Sure, if this was my '96 A4, then I'd mod it all myself, since it's not a big deal if I mess it up, but on a 30K investment I'm not gonna take the chance.

I appreciate the offer ... maybe I'll take ya up on it next spring when I plan to mod my suspension.

 

I almost forgot. Turboholic here on the board had all of his mods done by a local mechanic/fabricator next door in Mahomet (Speed Source).

I'm sure his installation prices will be reasonable. Contact Turboholic to get some background on him.
