Xede.. first impressions.
Xede.. first impressions.
I installed my Xede on Friday. I have had a chance to run a full tank of gas through it since then. I have the stage zero 93 octane map loaded. I simply cannot believe how much more power my EVO has now! I haven't even put on the cat-back yet. The Exed was very easy to install and makes a world of difference in the way the car drives. It added so much more torque, even the off-boost performance is much better. Thank you Shiv!
Now if you would just send my signature series cat-back...

I have now had the Exede installed for a week so I thought I would give a little more feedback. My car now pulls hard all the way to redline. Boost holds 20lbs with very little taper. Car pulls better even when off-boost. Spool up seems faster too. I have had no problems with it at all. I recommend this mod to anyone! I wish I could give some feedback about the signature series cat-back but even after waiting for a full month, still hasn't arrived yet...
Well, I got my (used) unit a few days ago. I had no time to install it but will also give my impressions when I install it. I do have some impressions so far though, even though it is not installed yet:
Cons:
- Vishnu's web site seems to be out of date on the proper instructions. I had to learn and aquire the knowledge from the great guys on this forum.
- I do not like the exposed chip board and solders on the PnP wiring harness. I'm sure a little plastic box could have been found to encapsulate this and make it look much more profesional and eliminate the fear of having something short the solder conncetions.
Pros:
- Appears to be a very easy installation especially with the PnP harness.
- The detail (in the dated) instructions is very good. Anyone with any skill level should be able to follow it.
- Support by owners and willing to share info regarding the Xede is great on this forum.
