I think its a brilliant idea Shiv....do it...its good to offer customers a wide variety of products ...no reason why you shouldnt...people will buy it from someone as reputable as Vishnu..especially after you sweep the C&D comparrison and the new poster for BFG...alot of press...not everyone wants to do an overlay...some like plug and play...some like the mail order reflash but may have personal gripes with certain tuners...do it...call it the VishFlash...or Flashnu...or ReVish....ReVlash

XFizzle?

FlashGordon?

Wal-Flash?

K-Flash?

Maybe you should sell a 600 Flash too and call it Abecrombie&Flash?

In all seriousness though....

I'm in agreement with the majority that think this is a bad idea. Don't stoop to a product level that is more cost-competitive and less perfomance-oriented, instead market your current XFlash more and force the industry to raise to your level if they hope to truely compete.

It's a great idea. I don't think you'd dilute your earnings, just steal them from the bottom end of the market.

Keep it as straight as possible, if people want the highest output, most reliable ECU Flash they will buy the Vishnu X-Flash.
Agree. Don't do it.

don't put the vishnu name on a $200 reflash. code the reflash, then contract with Mitsubishi to have them sell it as a manufacturer-approved warranty-preserving ECU upgrade. let them buy it from you for 6-figures up front and then spend more time on more innovative products....
Briliant idea.

Yes, I agree with this also, 100%. I used to cater to small businesses and private individiuals for the consulting work I do. Ran into the same issues as erioshi, and am now sticking with mid-large size corporations and government type organizations. Also, I don't think you guys are setup to really handle larger quantities. Unless you're going to hire more support personell (aka phone operators ), going the route of quantity instead of quality will fail.

One thing I would suggest, however is to put up more dyno sheets of the Xflash in action, including a listing of all the mods on the car being dyno'd. Then people can really get an idea of how much they can benefit from it. The current statement of 20-60whp is a bit vague...

Perhaps the other thing to offer would be an upgrade discount for Xflash users that want to go to the Xede. Upgradeability was one of the things that sold me on your stage 1 signature kit ... I know that when you come out with your stage 2 kit, it will integrate with the existing stage 1 sig. A known upgrade path from the Xflash will probably attract more buyers.

PS.: You guys forgot one ... PradaFlash
