ATP 3071 kit: Me and an another Vishnu 1/4 miler are exploring it.

Shiv and Co:
I just posted this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...938#post983938 and I could really use your input on this setup. I like it but have the following concerns 1) some guy from sweden says similar early spool setups in the UK have had problems with compressor surge; 2) even though it is affordable, is it aggressive enough to make me happy?

I'm probably not going to have the cash for a true bad *** stage two setup with headwork, driveline improvements, etc, for some time so maybe this is a decent compromise for the time being.

I guess we'll see soon enough. The one and only car i saw with that kit was running at SCC's EVO 8 shootout a few months back. The results were pretty dismal but may not be representitive of the production kit. I think there is another local customer close to us who is considering the kit and will be coming to us for dyno tuning. That should provide a pretty definitive answer to your question

No offense to Shiv, I know this is his forum (after all you are asking about a competitors product). But why not consider Buschur's turbokit? $2300 dollars; you get a manifold that flows better than the stock, and your choice of three custom turbos (with ballbearing and watercooling options available). If you want really agressive you can purchase a BR580, and if drag racing is your thing, that's good for 10's.

Know what Shiv? I'm so comfortable in your forum I never even thought of that I was asking about a competitor's product on your forum. What I really want to do is to bring my ride up to you, drop it off, and have you put a freakin' super fast stage 2 on it for $800 down and $400 per month 'till it is paid off. I have great credit. Think about it.

Shiv, I believe that Works did a similar turbo set-up in the shootout but not this exact one from what I heard.BTW You can tune out the bugs a lil better I believe. Smog I will PM you with an interesting proposition. Also who is the other 1+ owner interested in the 3071. It is probably a fat guy that drives like Lambchops.
