Hey guys, after about 4 months of research I've decided to go with some vishnu parts. I am planning on ordering the parts and installing them myself at my house. (Stage 1 signature). I think later on i will go with a stage 2, but i'm not sure. I will also order some miscelaneous items from the vishnu site, but i was wondering if i would need to get my car dyno tuned. Is there any way i can tune the car myself? Is the install for the stage one difficult? Thanks for any help!
No, you will not need to get your car dynotuned. The baseline maps are excellent and are available for every Vishnu configuration with 91, 93, and 100 octane maps. Also, Vishnu customers share their custom dyno-tuned maps freely with one another so you can do that too. You can install the Xede and exhaust in about an hour and a half. The cam gears require a custom tool that many of us own. I had mine installed by a shop because if they are done wrong you can srew up your motor. However, people who know how to do them say it is relatively easy.

Just did a stage 1 sig on mine as part of the CO dynodays. FYI - depending on which set of cam gears you get .... the red dot is what you use to align them with, not necessarily the 0 degree mark. Exhaust is a piece of cake, XEDE looked pretty easy too (Mac Autosport installed it under my watchful eye
).
Personally I'd get a baseline dyno on your car before installing anything. Not only will it give you a reference as to where your stock AFR and power is at, but it will also allow you to see if you need a fuel pump as part of your upgrade (if you haven't gotten one already).
