Sonic and I went; it was cool, but I was only impressed by a few people. Samuel in his factory backed viper and rhys in his GTO totally kicked ***. It was definitely a high horsepower course; many of the less powerful cars just couldn't get up to speed. Being the first time I've ever attended a drifting event, I'd have to say it was pretty sweet. However, I'd love to see the D1GP with all the japanese drivers. Also, I think Samuel in the viper could definitely give those guys a run for their money

 

Dude the 360 in the viper was so sweet!! I think Rhys had the best run out of all the runs that counted. His slip angle coming into the first corner was just insane.

I would kill to see him and Rhys and him go at it. Got video?

 

I only got a lil video of the preliminary round and then I got tired of holding the video camera haha. I am pretty sure I have video of the viper doin the 360 tho.

 

You guys know he's one of my instructors right?!? BTW I will bring him out for the Vishnu track days

i was there. i think Rhys kinda got screwed. he definately shoulda got third at least. but all in all it was freakin awesome! loved the umbrella girls too!

 

Our track days ALLWAYS turn into drift days at the end. It's called instructors revenge or "pay back laps"

I know! He is a badass driver. Favorite move was on one of his entrances he came in did a 360 down the straight kept goin to hold this crazy drift. It was fantastic.

 

Yes!! You, Sam and Taner will make an awesome coaching crew. I'm already talking to KK about specifics (track, date, etc,.)
