Subzero map w/ Downpipe?

I have a stock Evo with an Exede running the 93 Octane Subzero map. I'd like to pickup a HKS or Helix downpipe to run with stock exhaust. Can I still continue to use the same map?

I'm guessing that I would be okay. If I got a downpipe, highflow cat, and stock exhaust would it be a Subzero Plus?

you might want to consider starting at the other end of the exhaust first. start at the catback and work to the turbo. if you just get the downpipe you are justing opening part of the exhaust up only to close it down again later.

i know this did not answer your original question, but still something to consider. if you look at the stage paths of most of the vendors, they all do it this way for a reason.

good luck - marc

Thanks for the reply.

I want to keep the exhaust stock and stealthy. I understand that you most likely can only have it loud and fast or quiet and slow.

If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions.

I’m running a similar set up. I have a Vishnu Sig DP, hi flow Cat (Stock Exhaust), Forge BOV (Recirc.), XS MBC and UTEC (Dyno tuned). I went this route because the stock cat is so restrictive. If you go with a turbo back and keep the stock cat, you may only gain 10-15 whp, that’s what I witnessed first hand on my own car. I will get the rest of the system in a few weeks; including the cat delete and HKS cams.

My $.02

Good luck!

You should be able to run on Subzero without trouble with the mods you have. IMO, it will be on the conservative side for your mods. You can go on to Stagezero or even Stagezero+ with better results and still safe considering your mods.

Thanks for the input Noodle. I'm now running with the Stage Zero map with my 3" downpipe, high flow cat, stock cat-back, and Evo MR BOV. Car is running well.

On a side note, I had posted before that I was having a low boost issue. I was boosting .1-.2 KPA lower than everyone else. Turns out that my mechanical boost gauge was leaking. I deinstalled the mechanical gauges and installed some nice Defi BF gauges. I'm now peaking 1.45 - 1.5 KPA on third gear and tapering to 1.3 KPA. Life is good now.

1 KPA = 14.5 PSI
