What came first the flash or the part?

My first question is how can you tell the current firmware of your Xede.

Now I am running Xede by itself, but I will be upgrading a few parts such as cams, cam gears basically to stage 1+.

If my Xede isn't to the newest firmware of course I want to get that fixed, and i wanted to get the xFlash to help with the Xede, now best bet is to install all parts and have everything run so, so than send in xede + ecu to get flashed.

I noticed the xflash has 4 versions, one that helps compensate for larger injectors, what if i don't have larger injectors, is that a must get.. soon kind of situation for the 1+ guys.

With XEDE you'll want to get XEDEFlash instead:
http://www.vishnutuning.com/xedeflash.htm

with stage 1+ setup you should get XEDEFlash02 which includes:
  • Rev limit Raised to 7750RPM
  • Boost Limit Raised
  • Speed Limit Removed
  • Idle Adjustments for camshafts
