Vishnu Intercooler fun

I want to see some dyno runs of the new Vishnu IC when you guys get them in, please. I'd really like to see it on a Stage 1+ as well as a Stage 1 car, so that I might decide if I want to get the intercooler or the cams first. My shatbox needs more mods!

Did a search ealier but couldnt find the answer to my question. So, can someone explain to me te difference between a stage 1 and stage 1+? Is it the addition of cams and a different xede map that makes a 1+ a "+"? Thanks

You are correct.

Our stage 1 kit consists of the following:
Full exhaust
Cam gears
XFlash/Xede/or both

Our stage 1+ kit is everything in the stage 1 with the addition of cams and a fuel pump, and then we have the appropriate xflash/xede maps to accomodate the addition of the cams.

Well, others might disagree, but I consider the following mods more or less mandatory to be a full 1+:

1. Cams (of course)
2. Proper Xede map or Xflash map (of course)
3. The Xedeflash to get rid of fuel cut, raise rpm cutoff level, and remove top speed limiter.
4. Walbro 255 fuel pump or other upgraded fuel pump.
5. Upgraded Blow off valve (diverter valve). Don't just buy any one. Call Vishnu and ask for their recommendations.
6. Optional, but highly recommended at this point: a good boost gauge.

Hope this helps.

Don't mess with the IC - get your cams in order, or yams - it's all good

Any one know the temp difference with this new IC and the the Stock one?
I know the ARC is 20 degrees cooler and the HKS is 30 degrees cooler and Greddy like 20 degrees over stock have you tested it yet. I know these figures from Boost Solutions testing with these IC's over stock.

20 degrees cooler? 30 degrees cooler? sounds like pretty arbitrary numbers.. or are you saying that in their tests with their setup these were the differences... because the drop in temp (and the drop in pressure) is pretty dependant on the rest of the setup, ambient temp, etc.. The real numbers imo are in efficiency and probably would end up as a percentage...
