Both Rhys and Lachlan from Chiptorque are here. We'll be geeking out on XMAP v.3 for the next 2 weeks. I think you'll all like what we've been working on. This is the first time they've actually been able to test on a US-spec EVO 8. Already made big progress and some of the new features will blow you away

oh, just an FYI, aussies don't drink Fosters. Go to Australia and you'll find beers like XXXX (Four X) and Victoria Bitter (VB) immensely more popular than Fosters. As for the Xede, a user tuning guide and logging with wideband integration would be great, anything else would be gravy. Oh, and by the way Shiv, you're a bastard for dropping all your not-so-subtle hints about stuff to come and making us wait just knowing what we could be missing out on!

 

No please don't screw the sprayer override. OE automode is not good enough. And being able to activate this feature will also allow provisions for water injection through the same factory tank and pump instead of having to add an additional hardware if one wants to use it solely for water injection.

 

mmmm water injection.. Vishnu needs to come up with a proprietary water/alchohol injection unit...

RE point 2 - The XEDE already has the ability for us to add new maps for water/methanol/C16 injection. I think what would be nice is a pre-packaged pump, selenoid and tank kit for those who aren't comfortable fabbing something up.

RE point 5 - I fabbed up a map swtching button for my car and the XEDE looks like it switches maps when I flip the switch. I just wish there was a quick visual that would indicate if I was running on map bank 1 or map bank 2. Even having two LEDs or the one LED having different colors for each bank would be a great improvement.

I guess that problem is more specific to my install than someone using a straight toggle switch, but then I want my Evo to have a more finished look than a track only beast. If nothing else differing colors would make it easier for people to remember which map was loaded in each bank.

How about the capability to install/connect a remote LED? That way, you can see whether you've switched to the correct map without opening the glove compartment. Bonus for coolness factor!

Could you ask the guys from Chiptorque to answer their emails, I was really interested in one of their shiftlights and then they stopped answering my emails, would have been really cool too.
